The Vertical Tabs plugin replaces the default top tab row with a vertical tab list that stays readable when many notes are open. It adds grouping and organisation tools that make tab browsing easier across busy workspaces. The layout is aimed at note heavy sessions where titles become hard to scan in narrow horizontal tabs. It also includes per tab zooming, zen mode, a tab history browser and an extended keyboard tab switcher. Its advanced navigation system supports presets such as IDE mode, along with ephemeral tabs and automatic deduplication to control how notes open and stay open. Users can define their own navigation strategies too, which gives finer control over switching, focus and tab behaviour without changing the rest of the workspace layout.
