Description

The New Note New Window plugin for Obsidian enhances the note-taking experience by allowing users to create new notes in a floating window. This plugin provides flexibility with settings to control whether new notes open in the same window or a new one. It also offers the option to create notes in the default folder or specify a custom folder. Users can easily create new notes by running the designated command or by assigning a custom shortcut.

Manually installing the plugin

Copy over the main.js, manifest.json from the latest release to your vault VaultFolder/.obsidian/plugins/new-note-new-window/.

TODOs

Add an option to create new commands with a set of configuration combinations. E.g. to be able to create a separate hotkey for creating files on path X and another on path Y.
