The GTD Tasks plugin pulls tasks from across your notes into a sidebar panel and groups them by practical time buckets such as Today, This Week, Next Week, This Month and Someday. It stores each assignment back on the task line through tags or inline fields, so your markdown files remain the source of truth. Tasks can be moved with row buttons, drag and drop or a context menu. Unassigned items fall into a To Review inbox. The panel can flag overdue or badly placed tasks, track subtasks with their parent, filter by search, limit scanning to chosen files or folders and show optional status counts. It also reads due dates, priority and recurrence from the Tasks plugin when available.

The Completed Area plugin streamlines task management in Obsidian by moving completed to-do items into a designated 'Completed' section. Users can toggle this feature through a sidebar icon or a default shortcut (`Control + Enter`). The plugin allows customization of the completed area's header level (h1 to h6) and header name, with defaults set to h2 and 'Completed,' respectively. Users can also choose to disable the sidebar icon and rely solely on commands for a cleaner interface.
