The Smart Chat plugin keeps AI conversations inside notes by storing provider threads in chat codeblocks and writing saved thread links back into the note. It supports ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and other services, lets you start or resume a conversation in an embedded chat view, and tracks active or completed threads with fields such as chat-active and chat-done. Provider specific codeblocks are available for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Google AI Studio, Open WebUI and Kimi, while the generic smart-chat block covers all providers and API chat in Pro. The stored links can be surfaced through Dataview lists, and mobile access is limited to saved thread links because the full embedded web UI depends on desktop webview support.
