Obsidian plugins with #audio-playback#

The Aloud plugin for Obsidian enhances the note-taking experience by adding text-to-speech functionality. By integrating with OpenAI's API, it converts highlighted text into lifelike audio, offering a range of voices for playback. Features include immediate audio streaming, sentence-by-sentence playback, and customizable speed adjustments. The plugin also allows for audio caching to reduce costs, exporting, and embedding audio files. It provides visual feedback by highlighting the active sentence and integrates seamlessly with your operating system, offering pause/play controls. This plugin is a great tool for those who prefer listening to their notes, whether for accessibility, multitasking, or enhancing focus.

The Quran Life plugin manages daily Qur'an review, visual mindmap memorization and Anki card export. It calculates an approximate daily verse target and review cycle from a selected Quran part and time goal, with reading and audio listening modes. Its editor stores surah and part mindmaps as individual files, alongside linked notes and verse groups, while import and export tools package selected material as shareable ZIP files. The Anki deck view creates APKG files and supports reimporting updated cards without losing review progress. Plugin data, recitation caches and downloaded offline audio remain in a fixed data folder that can be synchronised through vault file sync. The plugin is still under development, with rough edges, breaking changes and possible one time data migrations between versions.

The AutoPause plugin keeps audio playback under control by making sure only one clip runs at a time. When a new file starts, it pauses the earlier one or resets it to the beginning if you enable that behaviour. It also adds commands to move to the next or previous audio clip in the active tab and a global play or pause toggle that can resume the last paused clip when it is still available. Another setting blocks keyboard focus on audio player elements, which helps shortcuts work without tab navigation getting in the way. The plugin works across desktop and mobile, including tabs, popout windows and different document views.

The Qiaomu Radio plugin adds a native radio player view with a global live station directory, station search, mood based channels and playback controls inside one focused interface. It can reorder recommendations from your likes, skips and recent listening, keeps favorites and history in the current vault and supports command palette access, a ribbon entry, theme aware styling and keyboard focus. For catalogue data it queries Radio Browser and falls back to `radio.qiaomu.ai` when needed, then connects directly to the chosen broadcaster's stream during playback. It does not require an account, includes no client telemetry and does not read, modify or upload Markdown notes. If a stream fails, it retries the same station once and then stops instead of switching away on its own.
