Obsidian plugins with #interactive-map#

The Map view for Obsidian Bases plugin adds a geographical perspective to your notes by turning linked data in Bases into an interactive map. It allows you to display markers that update dynamically based on filters, making it easy to visualise note collections in spatial context. Markers can be styled with custom icons from the Lucide library and coloured using RGB, HEX, or CSS variables, offering strong visual cues for different categories. You can also load custom background tiles for a personalised map experience and define default zoom levels to control navigation. Coordinates can be stored as text, lists, or split into latitude and longitude properties, providing flexibility in data entry.

The Xyl's Starmap plugin creates interactive star system maps from YAML blocks inside notes. Maps can connect notes and represent planets, moons, rings, asteroid belts and objects placed within those belts. Each mapped object can carry a label, while colours and object sizes can be customised. Ring thickness and 3D rotation are configurable as well. Positioning uses percentages so planets keep the same relative location when a map's width or height changes. A command inserts a preformatted Starmap template with comments, and another version provides one instance of every object without comments. The map renders when the cursor is outside the YAML code block or when the note is shown in reading mode.
