Obsidian plugins with #note-capture#

The Thino plugin turns short notes into timestamped entries stored in your existing files, with its basic workflow centred on diary files and content under a chosen heading. It opens a dedicated capture view, lets you type a note and inserts it at the end of the target section or file in a parsed memo format such as time prefixed list items and checkboxes. The plugin can also read memos from more than one source, and the paid tier adds features such as extra layouts, a progress bar, random review, global capture and a local HTTP API. Version 2 renamed the project from obsidian-memos to Thino, and the minimum setup for diary mode is the Daily Notes core plugin.

The Floating Notes plugin opens a separate floating editor window that can be shown or hidden on demand for quick note capture. This tool is especially useful for composers, music learners, or anyone who wants to transcribe MIDI input directly into structured note formats.

The X Post Saver plugin lets you capture and archive content from X (formerly Twitter) directly into your vault. By copying a post's URL or text, you can save it as a new note or send it to a designated folder, keeping social media snippets neatly organized. It supports both desktop and mobile, making it convenient to build collections of references, quotes, or ideas while browsing on any device. The plugin allows customization of default save locations and note formats, so you can adapt it to your preferred workflow. Commands through the palette make the process quick and frictionless, reducing the need for manual copying and pasting.
