Borozdov Claret

A theme from the Borozdov collection. Two faces — light Sundown, a golden-hour editorial dashboard on warm parchment, and dark Cellar, the same desk in a wine-dark room. White cards that lift by contrast, whispering headlines and one midnight wine for what you act on.

Principles

  • Parchment, never white. The canvas is warm parchment; white is reserved for cards that need to lift — callouts, tables, panels — and they lift by contrast alone, without shadows.
  • Headlines whisper. The title and every heading at weight 500, tracked in tighter as they grow; the platform's own sans at 400 for the text. Nothing shouts at 700.
  • One midnight wine. A warm near-black maroon fills the main button, a checked task, a toggle and the open file. Royal violet carries links; lilac mist washes tags, secondary buttons and the highlighter.
  • One dark band. Code blocks sit in deep lagoon with pale text — the only dark surface on the light face, and a distinct teal well on the dark one.

  • Light and dark modes, following Settings → Appearance → Base color scheme
  • Callouts as white cards with 16px corners and the title in the type's colour
  • Tables as white cards with a parchment header band
  • Tags and property values as lilac pills with ink text
  • Quiet editing: no focus ring around the note, its title or form fields while you type; property names read as labels, not boxed fields
  • Text colours meet WCAG contrast on both faces
  • The phone layout keeps the same colours and shapes
  • No embedded fonts, so the theme stays around 12 KB
  • No !important: every rule can be overridden with a CSS snippet

Installation

From the community directory: Settings → Appearance → Themes → Manage, search for Borozdov Claret, then Install and use.

By hand: download manifest.json and theme.css from the latest release into <vault>/.obsidian/themes/Borozdov Claret/, then choose Borozdov Claret under Settings → Appearance → Themes.

По-русски. Тема из коллекции Borozdov. Два лика: светлый «Закат» — редакционная панель в золотой час на тёплом пергаменте, и тёмный «Погреб» — тот же стол в винно-тёмной комнате. Белые карточки, которые приподнимаются контрастом, шепчущие заголовки и один полуночный кларет для того, что вы делаете. Шрифты не встроены. Устанавливается из каталога: Настройки → Оформление → Темы → Настроить → Borozdov Claret → Установить и применить.
