Borozdov Cirrus

A theme from the Borozdov collection. Two faces — light Zenith, a soft daylight notebook on a pale sky, and dark Nimbus, the same notebook under a night cloud. Bone-white cards with 32px corners, black pill buttons and one iris-blue stroke.

Principles

  • Sky and bone. The page is a pale sky and cards are bone white; the shift from one to the other is the depth, not a shadow.
  • Mid-weight, never bold. Noto Sans Medium for the title and headings, tracked in as they grow; the platform's own sans for the text.
  • Black fills, one iris stroke. Everything you fill is near-black by day and bone by night; iris blue is a stroke, for links, tags and the open file's outline.
  • Nothing is sharp. 32px on panels, 24px on callouts, 16px on code, tables and fields, pills for everything you press.

Features

  • Light and dark modes, following Settings → Appearance → Base color scheme
  • Callouts as bone-white cards whose icon sits in a pastel circle: lavender, mint, powder, sun or peach by type
  • Tags as pills outlined in iris; the open file as a pill drawn with an iris stroke
  • A sunny highlighter
  • Quiet editing: no focus ring around the note, its title or form fields while you type; property names read as labels, not boxed fields
  • Text colours meet WCAG contrast on both faces
  • The phone layout keeps the same colours and shapes
  • No !important: every rule can be overridden with a CSS snippet

Installation

From the community directory: Settings → Appearance → Themes → Manage, search for Borozdov Cirrus, then Install and use.

By hand: download manifest.json and theme.css from the latest release into <vault>/.obsidian/themes/Borozdov Cirrus/, then choose Borozdov Cirrus under Settings → Appearance → Themes.

Font

Noto Sans Medium (© 2015 Google LLC) is embedded in theme.css as base64 WOFF2 under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 — see fonts/OFL.txt. One weight, Latin and Cyrillic, for the title and headings only.

По-русски. Тема из коллекции Borozdov. Два лика: светлый «Зенит» — мягкий дневной блокнот на бледном небе, и тёмный «Туча» — тот же блокнот под ночным облаком. Карточки цвета кости со щедрыми углами, чёрные кнопки-пилюли, один штрих цвета ириса, а значки колаутов сидят в пастельных кружках. Заголовки — Noto Sans Medium. Устанавливается из каталога: Настройки → Оформление → Темы → Настроить → Borozdov Cirrus → Установить и применить.
