Zenith

Zenith 0.4.0: a build of main at 3a63b91. The dashboard is rebuilt — a wider board, cards set up from their own backs, and every widget redrawn to fit whatever cell it is given.

Install: unzip zenith-0.4.0.zip into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/, which creates the zenith folder. Or put main.js, manifest.json and styles.css into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/zenith/ yourself. Then enable Zenith in Settings → Community plugins. Needs Obsidian 1.8.7 or newer.

The board

• Wider. The board is 1200 px wide by default and its buttons stand at its own edge. A board still on the old default of 920 px is widened with it; any other width stays as you set it.
• Arranging has a panel beside the board: the widgets you can add, the grid, and saved layouts. The board is never squeezed for it; on a narrow pane and on a phone the panel comes up from the bottom.
• A card is set up from its own header. The ⋯ turns it over; a long press on the header does the same on a phone. On the back: the widget's own settings, its size as a preset or as a width and a height, Remove, and a link to the module's settings. Cards that can be placed more than once can be given a name.
• A card is only as tall as what is in it. Three tasks no longer hold four rows of the board; a timer or a line to write on takes one row. The height you give a card is the most it may take. Fit to content on the back holds a card at its height instead.
• A card that has not been set up says so in one line, and pressing the line turns the card over to its settings.

Bundles

• The rail shows the members' own icons instead of dots.
• Any member is set up from the bundle's back, without taking it out.
• A bundle of content cards is as tall as its tallest member — not as the one on top, so the board does not move when you switch.
• Any widget can sit in a bundle of any size. The strip that said a widget "has no L size" is gone.

Widgets

Every widget now lays itself out from the room it has rather than from the name of its size, so the same card is drawn differently in half the board, across all of it and in a phone's column — and is half-empty in none of them. One figure per card is set in the bundled serif; rows are lines, not boxes.

• Clock — the button that swapped the clock for the calendar is gone. The month stands beside the clock, under it in a tall narrow card, or gives way to this week in one line.
• Timer — one row tall; it can be paused, and a line under the figure empties with the time.
• Quick note — one row tall; the last line you filed is shown beside where it writes.
• Progress — press the card to see what is left instead of what has gone. Side by side in a wide card.
• Countdowns — the nearest date is the card's figure; the rest are rows.
• Life in weeks — the grid is in weeks, months or years, as fine as the card has room for.
• Tasks — two columns in a wide card. Opening a task's subtasks moves nothing else.
• Library — in a wide card the item you are on stands beside the shelf.
• Challenge — a goal to a column, with a mark where you should be by today.
• Weather — the hours on the card are thinned to what fits, the whole day in view, instead of a strip that scrolled sideways.
• Navigation — rows in columns instead of tiles.
• Text — a serif typeface on the back, for a card that is a motto. A text longer than its card scrolls without a scrollbar.
• Projects, Recent notes, Classes, Week — as many rows as the card holds, in columns where it is wide. Nothing scrolls inside a card.
• Prayer, Classes, Journal — a tall card is as tall as what is in it.
• Ritual — two lines, and the whole card is the button.

Tasks

• Deleting a task takes its subtasks with it, and asks first when it has any. Before, the subtasks were left behind as tasks of their own.
• Subtasks can be dragged under any sort.
• On a phone and in a narrow pane the quick line has a button that opens the full editor before the task is made.
• A narrow page has no date margin; a wide one keeps its titles in the middle.

Journal

• The check-in card's trackers wrap onto as many lines as they need, at every size.

Debug tools

• New tab, Widgets: every widget at every size on one page, for the board or for a phone's column — and in a cell of any width and height.

Fixed

• A console error on every pass of the pointer over the weather card (e.isShown is not a function). It came from a label on a drawing; drawings are labelled another way now.

Docs

• Dashboard is rewritten for the new board; Tasks, Journal and Utilities are updated. English and Russian.

Demo vault

zenith-demo-vault-0.4.0.zip is the 0.3.2 demo vault with this build installed. It has no saved board, so it opens on the new default one. All its data is made up and dated around 24 September 2026.
