  • The Bluesky app password is now stored in the Obsidian keychain instead of in plaintext. Until v0.5.1 it was saved as-is in the plugin's data.json inside your vault, so anyone who could read the vault — a synced folder, a backup, a public Git repository — could read the password. The plugin now keeps only a secret ID in its settings, and the password itself lives in Obsidian's keychain (Settings → Keychain), which is encrypted at rest by your operating system.
  • Upgrading migrates your existing password automatically. On first load the plaintext password is moved into the keychain under the ID bluesky-app-password and removed from data.json; a notice tells you when this has happened. Nothing to do by hand. Note that backups and Git history created before the migration still contain the plaintext — delete them if that matters to you.
  • What this does not protect against. The keychain is shared by all plugins, and any plugin can list secret IDs and read their values, so this guards against vault sync/sharing/disk leaks rather than against a malicious plugin. On Linux, encryption requires kwallet, kwallet5, kwallet6 or gnome-libsecret.
  • The keychain does not sync between devices. Enter the app password once per device. If a device has the secret ID but not the secret, posting explains exactly that instead of showing a generic login error.
  • Obsidian 1.11.5 or later is now required (minAppVersion raised from 1.8.7). 1.11.4 introduced the keychain API but did not yet encrypt it on disk, so 1.11.5 is the lowest version that actually protects the password.

  • Bluesky のアプリパスワードを、平文ではなく Obsidian のキーチェーンに保存するようになりました。 v0.5.1 までは vault 内のプラグインの data.json にそのまま書かれていたため、同期先・バックアップ・公開 Git リポジトリなど vault を読める場所からパスワードが読めてしまう状態でした。今後、設定に残るのはシークレットIDだけで、パスワード本体は OS の暗号化機構で保護される Obsidian のキーチェーン（設定 → キーチェーン）に入ります。
  • 更新すると、既存のパスワードは自動で移行されます。 初回起動時に平文のパスワードが bluesky-app-password というIDでキーチェーンへ移され、data.json からは削除されます（完了時に通知が出ます）。手作業は不要です。ただし移行前に作られたバックアップや Git 履歴には平文が残っているため、気になる場合は削除してください。
  • これで防げないこと。 キーチェーンはすべてのプラグインで共有され、どのプラグインからもシークレットIDの列挙と値の読み出しができます。守れるのは vault の同期・共有・ディスクからの漏洩であって、悪意あるプラグインからではありません。Linux では暗号化に kwallet / kwallet5 / kwallet6 / gnome-libsecret のいずれかが必要です。
  • キーチェーンは端末間で同期されません。 アプリパスワードは端末ごとに1回入力してください。シークレットIDだけがあって中身が無い端末では、汎用のログインエラーではなく、その状況が分かる文言を表示します。
  • 動作要件が Obsidian 1.11.5 以降になりました（minAppVersion を 1.8.7 から引き上げ）。キーチェーンAPI自体は 1.11.4 で追加されましたが、ディスク上の暗号化は 1.11.5 からなので、パスワードが実際に保護される最低バージョンに合わせています。

Installation / インストール

From Community plugins (EN):

  1. Open Settings → Community plugins in Obsidian.
  2. Select Browse and search for "Post To Bluesky".
  3. Select Install, then Enable.

Manual install (EN): Download main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css from the latest release and place them in <your-vault>/.obsidian/plugins/post-to-bluesky/, then enable the plugin in Settings → Community plugins.

コミュニティプラグインから (JP):

  1. Obsidianの 設定 → コミュニティプラグイン を開きます。
  2. 閲覧 から「Post To Bluesky」を検索します。
  3. インストール し、有効化 します。

手動インストール (JP): 最新リリース から main.js・manifest.json・styles.css をダウンロードし、<vault>/.obsidian/plugins/post-to-bluesky/ に配置して、コミュニティプラグイン設定で有効化してください。

Usage / 使い方

EN:

  1. Open Settings → Post To Bluesky and enter your Bluesky handle and an app password.
  2. Open the command palette and run Open post composer.
  3. Write your post, optionally attach up to 4 images (from the vault or your device) or emoji, and select Post.

To post from a note, add type: bluesky-draft to its frontmatter and run Post from draft notes.

JP:

  1. 設定 → Post To Bluesky で Bluesky のハンドルとアプリパスワードを入力します。
  2. コマンドパレットから Open post composer を実行して投稿モーダルを開きます。
  3. 本文を入力し、必要に応じて画像(最大4枚)や絵文字を追加して 投稿 を押します。

ノートから投稿する場合は、frontmatter に type: bluesky-draft を書いて Post from draft notes を実行します。

Security / セキュリティ

EN: Since v0.6.0 the app password is kept in the Obsidian keychain (Settings → Keychain), encrypted at rest by your OS — not in the plugin's data.json. Upgrading from v0.5.1 or earlier moves it there automatically on first load. The keychain is shared with other plugins and does not sync between devices. Use an app password — never your main account password — and revoke it in Bluesky settings if you suspect compromise. Details: Security & Privacy.
