Omni Drawio Viewer

An offline, read-only multi-page Drawio viewer.

Repository layout

  • src/ — TypeScript plugin source.
  • dist/ — local build output (ignored by Git).
  • scripts/deploy.mjs — copies only runtime files into an Obsidian Vault.

Build and deploy

npm install
npm run lint
npm run build
npm run deploy:coursewiki

To deploy to another Vault, run:

npm run build
node scripts/deploy.mjs /absolute/path/to/vault

Supported files

  • .drawio and .dio: each Drawio page appears in the page selector.
  • .drawio.svg: if the export contains an embedded <mxfile>, all pages are shown; otherwise it is displayed as a safe single-page SVG.

Obsidian assigns file views by the final extension, so .drawio.svg continues to open in its normal SVG view. To use the multi-page preview for one, run Open SVG preview from the Command Palette while that file is active.

Markdown

Use a normal embed for the first page:

Append a page name after # to embed one specific page:

![[diagrams/architecture.drawio#Deployment]]

The code block remains available when a page name contains Markdown-sensitive characters:

Development

npm install
npm run build

The plugin uses a built-in, safe SVG renderer. It does not load remote code, create runtime script elements, or use the system clipboard.
