MM Clean Links for Obsidian

A simple and lightweight plugin that makes editing and formatting external links easier than ever!

Features
  • Click behavior while in "Live Preview" editing: Allows to click on links without activating them, to make editing text or addresses easier. Single-click places the cursor. Double-click selects the whole phrase between the brackets. Can work for internal links, external links, or raw URLs.
  • External links title formatting: Allows to make the titles formatted consistently in the current note or throughout the whole vault. With the assigned hotkey, toggle once for the "Sentence" style (Upper, then all lower) and again for the "Associated Press" style (Upper, Then Upper and Upper Again).
  • Both enhancement can be customized via a few handy settings, as well as adding a third formatting option (comes with a warning).

Installation

Community plugins

  1. In Obsidian, open Settings > Community plugins
  2. Make sure Restricted mode is turned off (click Turn on community plugins if needed)
  3. Click Browse, search for MM Clean Links, and open its page
  4. Click Install, then Enable
  5. Make sure to check the Options too :)

Github / Ko-Fi Shop

  1. Download the latest release of MM Clean Links
  2. Extract its content into your Obsidian vault folder, under /.obsidian/plugins/mm-clean-links/
  3. In Obsidian, make sure to turn on the plugin in Settings > Community plugins
