Folder Fairy is the same maintainer's successor to Custom Icon / Icon Studio 1.x, with the new plugin ID icon-studio and the folder-fairy artwork.
This patch corrects the minimum Obsidian version to 1.5.7, matching the existing Vault.getFileByPath API. The runtime bundle, styles, and data format are unchanged. The Community automated review completed without blocking errors, and the public installation link is enabled. The primary directory feed includes Folder Fairy; the tested in-app catalog and GitHub mirror are still awaiting synchronization as of September 13, 2026. Use BRAT or manual installation if it does not appear in search.
- New installations: use BRAT with
t1seo/icon-studio, or download the three attached files into.obsidian/plugins/icon-studio/. - Existing
custom-iconusers: back up the old data, disable the old plugin, and follow the migration guide. Hotkeys and BRAT subscriptions do not transfer automatically. - The old repository and release history are preserved; the former directory entry is archived.
Validation: 76 tests, lint, TypeScript, build, release metadata, and real Obsidian metadata/reload checks passed. Release assets have GitHub artifact attestations.
