Description

This plugin has not been manually reviewed by Obsidian staff. Visual image tagging with sidebar manager. Right-click images or select in-editor to tag with clickable buttons. Stores tags in plugin settings.

Better Image Tagger

Tagging image by just right-clicking and pick desired tags without typing, and manage tag all in one tab.

Installation

  1. Installing this plugin from community plugin
  2. Enable the plugin and done. No extra setup needed for this plugin.

Basic Usage

  • Right-click images → Create metadata notes
  • Select tags visually from existing tags
  • Stores tags, author, and dates in frontmatter (YAML)

Commands

  • Tag selected image
  • Rescan vault for existing tags
  • Open tag manager sidebar

Notes

if you accidentally close the tag manager tab, you can reopen in the settings of this plugin.

Why This Project

Originally, I was using pinterest as image reference library, as it's the best one that I can search from anywhere, any device conveniently(ofc, couples of reason regarding convenience). However, I notice the site flooding with enormous amount of AI work and nsfw material (ads) which I wasn't intended to have them. I think to myself, why don't I just use obsidian for it, and here's how come this project.
